We started Employer Law Report in January 2008 to keep our clients and friends up-to-date on recent developments and trends affecting their workplace. Since then, it has become an essential part of our labor and employment practice. Earlier this week, we learned that Employer Law Report has been chosen as one of the Top 25 Labor and Employment Law Blogs of 2011 by voters in the greater LexisNexis community, and we couldn’t be more pleased to have received this vote of confidence from our readers.

We feel so honored to be in such good company. I already subscribe to virtually all — and soon, all — of these blogs. I encourage all Employer Law Report readers to bookmark this list as a great reference on everything related to labor and employment law. While you’re at it, add a 26th,since, as the fabulous Delaware Employment Law Blog notes, Seth Borden’s Labor Relations Today is a stunning omission from the list. (By the way, Molly, thank you very much for the kind words. The feeling is quite mutual.) I have learned a lot from all of these wonderful bloggers and I am sure you will too. (Many of them also share additional information and insight on their Twitter feeds so be sure to follow them there too.)

Finally, at the risk of turning this into an Oscar-length acceptance speech, I also need to thank my partners and everyone else at Porter Wright who have supported our efforts by contributing their time, expertise, insight, and encouragement to everything we do. This truly is a team effort. I just get to soak up the praise.

LexisNexis has asked readers to narrow this list of 25 down to one spot for "The Top Labor and Employment Blog for 2011." If you would like to vote for any of the blogs on this list, you can do so here.

If, as the saying goes, "you’re only as good as the company you keep," we take this honor as the highest of compliments.
